Job Description
The candidate must be familiar with basic analog and digital circuits including power supplies, serial communications, memory, input/output and grounding. Capable in using multimeter, oscilloscopes and other electronic test equipment to trouble shoot system issues. Comfortable with using PC based software test equipment and test software and be capable in connecting up and changing hardware configurations for USB, RS232 and Ethernet ports on the PC. Some experience with computer networks is desirable including the use of Ethernet monitoring software.
The candidate should be competent in working with standard AC wiring and understand proper procedures for safely handling such circuits. Use of hand tools and hand power tools will be required. Basic understanding of schematics and wiring diagrams is a must. Understanding written and spoken English is required.
Responsibilities: To install and support an elevator monitoring system to several elevator simulators and an elevator dispatching system. These systems communicate over various serial communications protocols. To connect up PC equipment to monitor the communications at various points in the system and to trouble shoot the system and all it sub-components. To support and assist software testing and document results.
Desired Candidate Profile
EDUCATION PREFERRED:
Diploma or equivalent in Electronics/Electrical Engineering
EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:
A minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on experience on above listed areas required.
In addition, skillset of programming in Java / C++ and experience in coding these languages is desired.
